Knelson Concrete Recovery
SystemSAN DIEGO, California - Knelson CRS product manager, Dave Beckham, presented at the National Ready Mix Association's 29th Annual Operations and Equipment Maintenance Forum & Expo in San Diego, California.

The focus of his session was real world solutions for gray water management. His one-hour presentation coincided with sessions by Rick Szecsy, of the ASTM, and Colin Lobo, of the NRMCA, who discussed the theories behind gray water management.

This event marked the first public presentation of the Knelson Concrete Recovery System at an industry-sponsored function.

When asked how his comments were received, Dave Beckham smiled. "Fifty percent of them wanted to carry me out on their shoulders and the other fifty percent wanted to pelt me with rocks and garbage."

While speaking somewhat tongue-in-cheek, Beckham's comment is indicative of a broad range of opinions on what can or cannot be done with recycled cementitious slurry.

"There is an education process required to synchronize the industry in its understanding of cement chemistry," remarks Beckham. "The data coming from the BETA installation will reinforce what cement chemistry already tells us: this [CRS] concept really works."

Beckham feels that positive ground was gained in advancing the CRS solution for gray water management and looks forward to further discussions on this and other topics.
