Concrete Recovery System Installation SUMNER, Washington - Knelson announces the installation of a new Concrete Recovery System (CRS) at the new Corliss Ready Mix plant in Sumner, WA.

All gray water accumulated on this site will be routed through the CRS to be consumed in the mixing of fresh concrete. Normal storage capacity was expanded to handle the volumes generated by this busy plant, located on the wet West Coast.

Vic Bartsch, a key member of Knelson's manufacturing team, was onsite assembling the CRS. "The people involved in the design of this plant have thought of everything," admires Bartsch. "It is a mind-blowing, state-of-the-art facility.

The ramp at the rinse-out station [situated over top of the CRS] enables five trucks to rinse into the CRS simultaneously." Other features of the 12-acre plant include a maintenance facility able to service 12 - 14 trucks at a time and a four-bunker silo for aggregate storage. All of these elements, along with the CRS, keep Corliss at the forefront of the industry in operating efficiency and environmental compliance.

Commissioning of both the concrete plant and the CRS will take place in late spring 2002.
