Corliss 5-truck washout station - a new level of clean. |
LANGLEY, Canada - Hard work and an ongoing commitment to excellence do not always guarantee commensurate recognition for one's efforts. Fortunately for Corliss Resources, a ready mix operation in Northwest Washington and one of Knelson’s first CRS customers, their impressive plant makeover landed them the cover story in the December issue of CONCRETE PRODUCTS magazine.
In the article entitled "Mountain Climber: A family-owned operator takes plant, shop design to next plateau", CONCRETE PRODUCTS editor Don Marsh presents an overview of the Sumner, WA operation, heralding Corliss as having “reached a new plateau in ready mixed production."
This mountainside plant, previously referred to by visiting producers as "The Taj Mahal of ready mix plants", is the second generation of plants for this Corliss location, its predecessor having serviced the family-run business for more than 50 years.
Marsh's article depicts Corliss as a company that does it right. From the 5-truck washout ramp atop the top-performing Knelson CRS to the fully paved 10-acre site complete with a scenic pond, Corliss has left no stone unturned in its quest to securely position the company for the next 50 years.
Knelson is proud to have the Concrete Recovery System included in this high-caliber plant design and we congratulate Corliss Resources on the positive recognition of their long-term vision, hard work and investment.
