Partially hydrated cement slurry from returned concrete and drum washout is a high pH, chemically reactive and time-sensitive binding fluid that can poison an immediate ecosystem, create health and safety risks and cause accelerated depreciation in capital equipment.

For these reasons, Knelson has carefully developed a process through which management of this concrete bi-product can be effectively achieved.

By applying the principles of continuous process, the Knelson Concrete Recovery System (CRS) acts as a bridge across the ready-mix concrete production gap allowing the producer to capture this concrete bi-product while it has remaining cementitious value and hold it as interim-inventory to be consumed in the next production period.

Through engineered design and automation, Knelson has taken the complexity of handling cementitious slurry and reduced it to a safe and simple process that requires a minimum of interaction with yard personnel, truck operators or batchers.

Let Knelson help you develop your continuous process strategy using the Knelson Concrete Recovery System (CRS) at your plant.
